Pleadings & filing

From your served models to a file-ready packet.

Complaints, summonses, notices and motions from your own served models, file-ready packets, court-reporter requests and mediation prep.

Saves time: Pleadings start from your firm's served models, and the case number lands on every draft without retyping.

The problem

Why it's hard today

Most pleadings in a PI practice are an earlier pleading with the names changed. Cloning a served model is fast and risky: the last client's name or the old firm's letterhead survives in a header nobody opened.

Around the pleadings sit small jobs that slip: the court reporter nobody requested, the 120-day service limit, the mediation where the lien sheet is three months old.

How it works

4 steps, start to finish

  1. 1

    Your template library

Upload your served models. Drafts are cloned from them, not rebuilt, and text from a predecessor firm is swept out of every part of the file.

  2. 2

    Drafts per case and defendant

Complaints, one summons per defendant, notices of hearing and deposition, and motions for extension or to compel, filled from the case, with the ADA block your firm sets for the county.

  3. 3

A packet, then a person files

A file-ready packet goes to whoever files in the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal. When the portal's confirmation email arrives, the filing and case numbers are stamped onto the case and its drafts.

  4. 4

    Depositions and mediation

A filed notice of deposition produces a court-reporter request draft. Thirty days before mediation, a punch list shows what to refresh: records, the lien sheet and the demand.

Approval: The software never files. Marking a document filed is a person's action, and reporter requests and served notices wait in the approval queue.

Questions

Pleadings & filing: FAQ

Will it file with the court for us?

No. There is no portal connection and no automated filing. A person submits the packet in the portal and marks it filed.

Does it watch the service-of-process deadline?

Yes. Defendants near the 120-day service limit are flagged to the firm, with the timing shown for an attorney to verify.

How much accident detail goes in an auto complaint?

Auto complaints are drafted as short notice pleadings and checked so they do not state the time, the direction of travel or the street.

Start with one case. Keep the queue.

Open the sample firm and approve a records request, or set up your own workspace in a few minutes. Your firm signs our BAA in the app before any client records go in.
